Screen printing (or screen printing) is a printing technique in which ink is printed onto a substrate through a fine mesh fabric (the screen). It can be used to produce high-quality and long-lasting prints, with colors that are so intense that they cannot be compared with other printing techniques.

The printing process
- Screen preparation: A fine mesh fabric made of polyester, nylon or other materials is stretched over a frame. The fabric is then coated with a light-sensitive emulsion paint and cured. Finally, it is exposed to a negative film, leaving areas that are transparent to the ink.
- Ink application: The ink is pushed through the open areas (the “stencils”) of the screen and thus applied to the substrate. This is done either through manual or automated processes.
- Drying: After printing, the substrate is dried or cured depending on the type of ink used.
- Reuse of the screen: After printing, the screen is cleaned and can be reused.
