Dipl.-Ing, Christoph Beisteiner, BSc

Christoph Beisteiner is a technology enthusiast with a degree in electrical engineering and electronics from the Higher Technical College in Leonding, Austria and a diploma in mechatronics from the Johannes Kepler University in Linz, Austria.

In den Jahren 2013 bis 2017 war Beisteiner als wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter am Institut für Elektrische Messtechnik der Johannes Kepler Universität beschäftigt. In diesem Zeitraum entwickelte er im Rahmen mehrerer Forschungsarbeiten einerseits Energy-Harvesting Systeme und andererseits Lösungen für den Druck von Elektronik und Sensorik mittels funktionaler Tinten in herkömmlichen Inkjet-Druckern. Außerdem war Beisteiner von 2015 bis 2017  Vorstandsmitglied des Vereins „IEEE Student Branch JKU Linz“, welcher sein Interesse an einer which aroused his interest in entrepreneurial activity.

Greiner Idea Hackathon for Printed Electronics

A 48-hour Greiner Ideation Hackathon took place in Vienna's WeXelerate in 2018. A total of 15 teams, consisting of international participants, had the task of developing concepts on the subject of Business Models for Plastics with Printed Electronics for Greiner products. The best teams were awarded prize money at the end. Beisteiner and his colleague Hofer were able to achieve second place.

In den darauffolgenden Jahren arbeitete er als Projektleiter exklusiv für „Beisteiner Josef“ – Grafische Maschinen & Systemtechnik. Seit 2. Oktober 2020 führt er das Unternehmen von Beisteiner Josef unter dem Namen „Beisteiner Printronics e.U.“ weiter.

In addition to his great passion for technology, he is an avid skier (alpine and ski touring), hiker, mountain biker, and climber. He prefers to spend his leisure time in the mountains or by lakes.
