The company history

In the meantime, the company Beisteiner celebrates four decades of existence in the middle of the village Roitham at the Traunfall in Upper Austria. An honor for the 35th anniversary already took place in 2018 by the Chamber of Commerce.

A brief look at the history of the Beisteiner company ...

The founder

Josef Beisteiner, aufgewachsen inmitten einer kleinen Landwirtschaft, entwickelte bereits während seiner Schulzeit in den 60er-Jahren erste Geschäftsideen: Er fertigte und verkaufte Modelldrachen. Seine Ladenschaft, die Technik war geweckt, woraufhin er in der Voestalpine whereupon he completed an apprenticeship as a toolmaker. During his work as department head of printing at the Landesverlag he finally gained his first insights into screen and pad printing.

Company formation

Josef Beisteiner, ahead of his time, recognized the potential of screen printing and pad printing. In 1982, he fulfilled his grand dream and established the company "Beisteiner Josef" - Grafische Maschinen & Systemtechnik. Initially, the product portfolio was limited to application technology and the supply of screen printing and pad printing machines.

Extension of the product portfolio

With his experience in mechanical engineering, he expanded the portfolio in the following years by adding automation of printing machines and a machinery repair service. Due to the increasing demand, in 1986, a commercial hall with administrative and exhibition spaces was built and occupied in Au bei Roitham, directly on the B144 federal road.

Trade fair appearances

Over the years, his company gained recognition far beyond the borders of Austria through exhibitions at national and international trade fairs.

Company takeover

In October 2020, Christoph Beisteiner took over the company „Beisteiner Josef“ – Grafische Maschinen & Systemtechnik and has been running it under the name "Beisteiner Printronics e.U." ever since. As a technology enthusiast, with a completed higher technical school education in electrical engineering and electronics and a diploma in mechatronics from Johannes Kepler University Linz, he had already worked in the family business for three years prior to taking over. Before that, he gained experience in the field of printed sensors and energy harvesting through years of research activities, which he continues to pursue to this day.
